Elizabeth is a retired educator with a life-long dedication to multicultural understanding. She holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction in Multicultural Teacher Education from the University of New Mexico and a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from the University of California. She has organized many commemorations of Dr. King’s legacy. She has developed courses in the multicultural heritage of the Southwest at Eastern New Mexico and worked as liaison between the university and Bosque Redondo State Monument.
